Why plastics instead of wood?

Durability
Plastic won't rot, split, crack, splinter and eventually need to be replaced like wood. It does not absorb moisture or promote bacterial or barnacle growth. This resistance is accomplished without any hazardous chemicals as those utilized in the pressure treatment of wood. Laboratory testing shows no leaching or release of chemicals into the soil or marine environments.

Ease of care
Plastic will never need to be painted, stained, waterproofed or sanded. A quick wash off with a hose or pressure washer will restore your plastic to its original appearance.

Safety
The attractive, natural looking surface texture on our product is outstanding for slip-resistance and will give you sure-footed passage especially in rainy weather. No splinters in your feet or stepping on loosened nails.

Environment
We recycle our plastic from post-consumer and post-industrial discards, which means we are helping to divert solid waste from landfills. Also, by using plastic lumber you are conserving wood resources. Because the length-of-service / life of the plastic is virtually unknown, you will save a huge number of trees. Also, plastic is not toxic to the environment like CCA treated lumber, which leaches arsenic into the environment or directly onto skin when in contact.

Colorfast ... Never Paint
Double good news! Simply said, CASTplastic™ not only has color pigment concentrated throughout; it won't hold paint.

  • "Five years ago, we purchased five 100% recycled plastic picnic tables from Green Tree. They have proven to be an excellent investment. , The tables still look the same as the day we received them, and haven't faded, cracked or required any maintenance whatsoever. They are more than worth the initial cost, and have provided a great way for our campers to enjoy their meals comfortably in the outdoors. Thanks for making a great product."
